BENNIS INDOOR PLAYGROUND

Full of fun, children at the centre

Located in the south-east of Ingolstadt, Bennis Playland is a huge indoor play paradise for children between the ages of 2 and 14. The central focus is on inclusive architecture that puts children at the centre of the design process. Bright colours and curved shapes create a colourful and joyful atmosphere.

The building is divided into two parts. The entrance area in front houses the reception area, the changing rooms and offices. Behind it, the indoor playground unfolds with slides, trampolines and racetracks. Different play areas allow the children to immerse themselves in different worlds and gather new experiences. The ground floor also has a day-care centre for toddlers, a bar and lounge areas for accompanying adults. The upper floor offers opportunities for retreat on the terrace and in the reading and fairy tale corner. Children’s films can be shown in the cinema room.

The primary design element is the elementary shape of the circle, which runs through the entire project – from the furniture to the layout and the facade. In addition, round, colourful openings in the facade make the building stand out clearly from its surroundings and are reminiscent of sweet candies in all colours. The rounded corners and rounded shapes bring out the liveliness and vitality of the space.
