PLARS CASTLE

The romantic Plars Castle sits enthroned above Algund in South Tyrol, surrounded by vineyards. The charming building houses a small hotel that was redesigned through a careful intervention and with great respect for the historical structure. The central focus of the design was light, which brings out the various facets of the house during the day.

The breakfast room for hotel guests is located on the top floor. As a contrast to the original open roof truss, modern Italian designer furniture was chosen for the interior. Lively colours – especially yellow and purple – combine historical elegance with modern design and thus create a lively atmosphere in the historic walls. Outside, the breakfast room has been extended to include a spacious balcony, allowing breakfast in the fresh air with breath-taking views. The design in black steel optimally adapts the balcony to the existing structure without distracting from the actual protagonist, the castle.

The castle character is also retained in the rooms and suites. Custom-made designer furniture and a conscious choice of materials make each room a fairy-tale retreat.
